Coots Wedding Highlights - Austin, TX
Noah and Abigail have one of the sweetest love stories I’ve had the privilege of capturing. Together since they were 16 and 14 years old, they almost don’t even know what life was like without each other. When Noah reached out to me shortly before his wedding date, I was incredibly honored to find out that he wanted to surprise his fiancé, Abigail, by hiring me. She had loved a video I’d done for a friend of theirs, and Noah, being the sweetest future husband in the world, wanted to do anything he could to make sure his bride had the wedding that she had been dreaming of for ten years.
Everything about their wedding day was incredibly emotional and sentimental. From the support of their friends and family who have watched these two grow together from kids into adulthood, down to the intimate, personal vows that left everyone in tears. The love that these two have for each other was tangible throughout the entire day in a way that I have rarely seen. Ten years together is just a drop in the bucket for these two, who are so clearly made for each other. Congrats to the Coots!

Jones Wedding Highlights - Spring Branch, TX
“Hailey, I knew you were his better half the first day I met you. And then when you shot that big buck on New Year’s Eve, I said, ‘Yep, she’s the one!’” Matt and Hailey’s story started with a (what could potentially seem sketchy) date on Matt’s ranch. But these two made it through dating and engagement during the pandemic, to now being married and having had their first baby together just a few short months after their wedding day! Their wedding was sentimental, focused on God, friends, and the growing Jones family. Their love for each other was so tangible through the way these two light up when they look at each other, and it made the entire day such a joy to capture. Congrats to the Joneses!

Theo Wedding Highlights - Austin, TX
Jonathan and Michelle are two of the sweetest, most sincere people I’ve ever had the pleasure of filming. There was something so gentle and calming about their love for each other, and I couldn't get over the way these two look at each other. Their love was truly tangible throughout the whole day. One of my favorite wedding moments I’ve ever seen was when Jonathan even surprised Michelle with a mini “last date” with a charcuterie board before the ceremony. Their wedding was sweet and personal, filled with emotion, and ended with the most fun and joy on the dance floor. Congrats to the Theos!

Rydin Wedding Highlights - Austin, TX
In my eight years of filming weddings, I can honestly say that I’ve never had a wedding experience quite like Eric and Manon’s! The first, and most obvious reason, is that they wanted their ENTIRE wedding shot on Super 8 film. Normally I would only shoot a couple of rolls on a wedding day, but knowing that this was the primary medium for capturing the day, we decided to go big (I went through 18 rolls of film in one day!).
The second reason is that Eric and Manon’s day was so intimate and personal in a way that I’ve never seen before. They rented a stunning house off of Lake Austin for thirteen of their closest friends and family to spend a weekend of celebration, with incredible food and ten course meals provided by Chef Danny Kievit, and wine pairings chosen by the groom (who happens to be a fantastic sommelier!). The entire weekend centered around just being together and experiencing each other’s presence, taking in some of the best things life has to offer.
But the highlight of it all was the way that Eric and Manon’s friends and family made me and the other vendors feel right at home, as though we were also guests at this fabulous party. Maybe it was the sound of the Super 8 camera that made people feel so comfortable in approaching me, but I spent most of the day talking with and making friends with everyone in attendance. I spent time with the chef, the coordinator, the servers, drinking the leftover wine and being made to feel like I was part of the celebration. It was a truly one of a kind experience, and one that I'm so grateful that I got to be a part of. Congrats to the Rydins!
