Wooten Wedding Preview - Wimberley, TX
Growing up, Katie’s family and my family would often get together for holidays. They were our surrogate family when all of our family lived out in the midwest. When their videographer backed out at the last minute before their wedding I was so thrilled to be able to capture their wedding day (even with just a week’s notice!). Unfortunately the fall season was beyond busy for me, and I’ve been playing an extremely intense game of editing catch up for the last 7 months! I’m so happy to get to share this preview from their gorgeous wedding day, and I can’t wait to get to edit their highlights video. Congrats to the Wootens!
Fox Wedding Preview - McKinney, TX
This wedding has been a long time coming for Megan and Harrison! They were one of my many couples who had to postpone their wedding date, but March 12th ended up being more perfect than ever! The spring weather held off all day, and though gloomy, we never had a drop of rain. Megan is up there as one of my funniest brides (she made many memorable quotes throughout the day), and she and Harrison threw a party that won’t soon be forgotten by their friends and family. Their day was full of vibrance and fun, which seems like a perfect reflection of who these two are as a couple. Congrats to Megan and Harrison! (Also, I can finally say I filmed Megan Fox’s wedding!) ;)
Berg Wedding Preview - Dallas, TX
Woohoo! I’m finally getting to the last teaser of 2020! Ten years ago when 2020 began, I had ten weddings on the books with a goal of shooting 14. After many ups and downs, lots of postponements and even cancellations, I ended up exceeding my goal and booking FIFTEEN weddings for 2020. While this sounds great, eleven of those weddings all fell into about a six month window, and I’ve been busting my butt to edit them all ever since.
I’m so happy to finally get to release this teaser, not only because it’s the light at the end of the editing tunnel, but because Jenna has been such a supportive bride. She trusts me creatively and has even asked me to push further than I normally would, which is so appreciated. I loved getting to experiment and play with more super 8 filters for their day, as well as capture their fun and laid back personalities. I can’t wait to edit their highlights because I know it’ll be a fun creative endeavor when I get there. Congrats to the Bergs!

A little background on how I license music for my videos: I use a website called Musicbed, which I pay a subscription fee in order to legally license music for all of my wedding videos. I regularly search through it for music I might want to use and save for later. Sometimes that means sitting on a song for a long time before I ever find the right couple with the right wedding and the right footage to ever fit the song. And sometimes it means never getting to use the song at all. I’d rather have a song fit the couple because of who they are, rather than me try to force a song to work for a wedding or couple where it just wasn’t right.
Enter Hannah and John and their hill country wedding. These two had such a sweet, romantic side to them, and the setting could not have been any more perfect and picturesque. It was the perfect weather, perfect scenery, perfect sunset, perfect day. I can’t wait to share more. Congrats to the Shebats!
