Skala Wedding Preview - Bruceville, TX
When life hands you lemons (or in this case, a thunderstorm), you can’t pass up the chance to make lemonade! Sheyanne and Carson’s wedding day started out stunning as ever, but our sunset portrait time was lost to a massive storm that swept over the entire area. The photographer and I thought all hope was lost and that there was no chance of getting any more portraits for the day. When Sheyanne told us the storm had passed and asked if we’d still want to take portraits I thought the light was gone and it wouldn’t be worth it, but we decided to go for it anyway and just see what we could get. What we got was an incredible lightning show that made the few minutes we captured all the more magical! I’m so glad we caught what we did while we had the chance. A once in a lifetime lightning show for a once in a lifetime day. Congrats to the Skalas!
Richards Wedding Preview - Driftwood, TX
I always feel so lucky to be asked to film a friend’s wedding. It never stops being special to me to get to be a part of their day from beginning to end. Sean is a friend from my coworking space, and though I’d only met Angela briefly before their wedding it wasn’t hard to pick up on how well these two balance each other. Sean is the fun and spontaneous center of attention, and Angela is the driven, principled one keeping him humble. Their day was focused on everything that mattered to them - Christ, their friends and family, and an epic dance party. Congrats to the Richards!
Sears-Greer Wedding Preview - Hunt, TX
A few things come to mind when I think of Mackenzie and Daniel’s wedding day. The first is that these two are just the sweetest, most cheesy, over the moon in love as it gets. Their vows to each other were storybook (I can’t wait to share them in the highlights video!), and the way they look at each other gets me every time. The other thing is how important their friends and family are to them. They were such a central part of the day, and played a huge role in every aspect, down to the fact that these two got married on Mackenzie’s private family ranch. I can’t wait to share their full love story! Congrats to the Sears-Greers!
Dapolito Wedding Preview - San Antonio, TX
Gosh this was a fun one to edit! I always love a good rap teaser but it doesn’t fit every couple. So why Cristina and Paul? Honestly their wedding was such a party, and Cristina is straight fire on the dance floor. Their day was so fun and just a blast all around, it felt fitting to give them a teaser as energetic as their wedding was. (Also BIG shoutout to DJ Cassandra who kept the dance floor going all night!)
I also had a lot of fun experimenting with sound in this video. You probably wouldn’t even notice without hearing the song on its own, but I used some new sound effects that I purchased from Denver based videographers, Multiply Media, and their new SFX pack. Risers, whooshes, and impacts added some layers and depth to the video and just made it a little bit more punchy. Fitting for the coolest couple ever. Congrats to the Dapolitos!
