Rydin Wedding Highlights - Austin, TX
In my eight years of filming weddings, I can honestly say that I’ve never had a wedding experience quite like Eric and Manon’s! The first, and most obvious reason, is that they wanted their ENTIRE wedding shot on Super 8 film. Normally I would only shoot a couple of rolls on a wedding day, but knowing that this was the primary medium for capturing the day, we decided to go big (I went through 18 rolls of film in one day!).
The second reason is that Eric and Manon’s day was so intimate and personal in a way that I’ve never seen before. They rented a stunning house off of Lake Austin for thirteen of their closest friends and family to spend a weekend of celebration, with incredible food and ten course meals provided by Chef Danny Kievit, and wine pairings chosen by the groom (who happens to be a fantastic sommelier!). The entire weekend centered around just being together and experiencing each other’s presence, taking in some of the best things life has to offer.
But the highlight of it all was the way that Eric and Manon’s friends and family made me and the other vendors feel right at home, as though we were also guests at this fabulous party. Maybe it was the sound of the Super 8 camera that made people feel so comfortable in approaching me, but I spent most of the day talking with and making friends with everyone in attendance. I spent time with the chef, the coordinator, the servers, drinking the leftover wine and being made to feel like I was part of the celebration. It was a truly one of a kind experience, and one that I'm so grateful that I got to be a part of. Congrats to the Rydins!

Bays Wedding Preview - San Antonio, TX
Have you ever heard of someone being surprised by their own wedding venue on their wedding day? Since Jordan knew pretty quickly that Jake was the one, she went ahead and booked their wedding venue before he even put a ring on her finger. (Talk about trust!) She then surprised him on their wedding day by revealing that their venue was actually attached to a Western art museum! During cocktail hour, they were able to sneak away for a private tour where they got to explore and take in all of the southwestern art and history. It was a beautiful, quiet moment for just the two of them, in the middle of the biggest day of their lives. Jordan and Jake, may you always find the quiet, special moments in the middle of the busyness. Congrats to the Bays!
Skala Wedding Highlights - Bruceville, TX
I’m not sure if I’ve ever had a more sweet, joy filled couple as Sheyanne and Carson. First off, they’re obviously just plain adorable. They live on a farm and are collecting animals and doing home renovation projects, and they’re basically people after my own heart. Secondly, their day was packed with so many sweet and tender moments, I wasn’t even sure how it was all going to fit! The love and support of their friends and family was so evident, and the day could not have been more full of joy, laughter, and sweetness. Wishing you many wonderful years, and lots of cows, in your future! Congrats to the Skalas!

Cicconetti Wedding Preview - Fredericksburg, TX
When there are 20 mph winds on your wedding day and the theme of the day becomes "pivot!", you know you gotta make a teaser that pivots too. (Keep watching if you want to know what I mean! ) I couldn't stop pinching myself all day during Mario and Janet's wedding day. The couple, their friends, the vendor team, everything about the day was perfection. Even when the wind threw plans off and the ceremony wasn't up on the bluff anymore, winds died down and we were able to capture some of the most beautiful portrait footage I think I've ever filmed! Everything about this wedding and this couple was so special, I still can't believe I was there to capture it all. Congrats to the Cicconettis!
