About Emilee Guidorzi Films

Hey there!

I’m Emilee, an Austin-based wedding and branding filmmaker. I’m passionate about getting to know people and telling their stories artistically, authentically, and timelessly.

I use the words “authentic” and “intentional” a lot, because it drives everything that I do as a filmmaker. It’s not about making a trendy or hip video, it’s about creating a piece of art that’s meaningful and personal to who you are. And doing that requires thoughtfulness and intentionality to see the whole person and what they’re about. It requires sensitivity, the ability to feel what others are feeling, to read the emotions of a moment and know when to let it play out fully or when to put the camera down. That’s the sort of thing that helps tell a great story.

And by the end of your wedding day, I want you to feel like I’m your true friend and your biggest cheerleader. Nothing gives me more joy than following my couples for years to come and watching them buy their first home, travel the world, adopt a pet, or grow their family. I’m not just in this for your wedding day, I’m invested in you as a person. So, are you ready to do this thing?

What’s up with the last name?

Well you can blame my very Italian husband, and you can pronounce it however you like. “Guh-door-zee” is fine, or you can say it the really Italian way, “Gwee-door-si”, with a little Italian hand gesture in the air. Tomato, tomato.

My Approach

I believe the key to a great wedding film comes from caring deeply about each and every couple. This is about your day, your emotions, your memories. It really is a privilege to be allowed into one of the most sacred days of your life, and I strive to get to know my couples personally beforehand so that trust and vulnerability are already established before a camera is ever picked up. I want you to walk away from your wedding feeling like you got to hang out with your friend, not a camera operator all day.

What Inspires Me

There’s something about video that photo just can’t quite capture. Seeing the tears roll down your husband’s cheek as you walk down the aisle, hearing your dad’s voice crack when he sees you for the first time, or reliving the exact emotions you felt as you exchanged vows. I want to capture memories for you to be able to look back on long after you’ve lost loved ones, and to also pass down to future generations. I want you to be able to look back on your film in the highs and lows of your marriage, and be reminded of the way you looked at each other that day and the words you promised to each other. It’s about way more than a wedding day, it’s about preserving memories and stories for years to come.

Get to Know Me!

  • I’ve been married to my husband, David, since 2013. We live in Austin with our two Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Maggie and Riggins, and our eight backyard chickens. I obsessively tend to them, so I guess you could say that makes me a chicken tender.

  • I studied documentary filmmaking at the University of Texas (hook ‘em!) and I guess you could say it was alright alright alright.

  • My comfort TV shows are Friday Night Lights, Gilmore Girls, and trashy reality shows (specifically all things “The Bachelor” or “Love is Blind”).

  • I love Jesus and believe that being a creative is just a small reflection of a big Creator.

  • I’m an enneagram one, ESFJ, Hufflepuff, and my love languages are good food, cute hats, and bougie hotels.

  • When I’m not shooting weddings, I enjoy traveling, going to concerts, participating in the cult known as Crossfit, and doing my general best to keep Austin weird.

Love From Past Brides

“I had been looking into a lot of videographers and their work but I felt many had the same overall style despite all the different couples and personalities. If you look through Emilee's work you can see the variety and uniqueness. She truly gets to know your personality as a couple and tries to bring your vision to life. On top of her great work, she's just an awesome person to work with! I had soooo much fun working with her from start to finish. She was such a critical part of my wedding day team.”

The Process

01
So you wanna be friends?

I want to hear all about you and your love story! Once you reach out, we’ll set up a time to chat, get to know each other, and talk through the video process. I place a high value on getting to know each of my couples deeply and personally, and if that’s not you that’s totally cool. I want to make sure that we’re a good fit and that I’m the right person to capture your day!

02
Ok, we’re like, totally friends now!

Now that you’ve secured your wedding date, you’ll receive a survey covering everything there is to know about your story and your video preferences. I want to get to know your taste in music, your favorite TV shows or movies, what you like to do for fun, and what’s most important to you on your wedding day. A month out from the wedding, we’ll have one last check in to go over all the final details!

Besties for the resties

You can rest easy knowing that your day is being documented with care and intention. No special moment is overlooked, even the unexpected ones. After your wedding day you can trust that I’m working hard to edit your story in a way that reflects you, your style, and your story. Each story is unique, and I pour my heart and soul into making sure every single film is perfectly tailored to each couple.
